Subscription & billing
- What's included: FFmix Pro adds 3× parallel queue, unlimited AI parsing, watch-folder automation, and unlimited Finder right-click presets. It's an auto-renewable subscription with a 7-day free trial and Family Sharing — pricing is shown in the App Store and varies by region. Local tasks are already unlimited on the free tier.
- Manage or cancel: open System Settings → [your name] → Media & Purchases → Subscriptions (or the App Store app → your account → Subscriptions), select FFmix, then change or cancel. Cancelling keeps Pro active until the end of the current period.
- Free trial: the 7-day trial converts to a paid annual subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
- Restore purchases: in FFmix, open Settings → Account → Restore purchases — useful on a new Mac or after reinstalling.
- Refunds: purchases are processed by Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Troubleshooting
- A task says the engine is missing: the ffmpeg engine ships inside the app, so this is rare — quit and reopen FFmix, and if it persists, reinstall from the Mac App Store to restore the bundled engine.
- A task failed: open the failed job to see the log — it's usually an unsupported source codec. Try running Convert → MP4 on the file first, then your task.
- Subtitle transcription: the first run downloads the Whisper model (~480 MB) once; after that, transcription runs fully on-device and your audio is never uploaded.
- Output folder permission: macOS asks once to allow writing next to your originals — grant it and the prompt won't return for that folder.
